A new feature that we have recently released is the ability for Agents to be able to transfer files directly to visitors via a Web Chat.
When an agent is engaged with a visitor in a chat conversation, they will now be able to see a new button at the top of their chat widget to perform a file transfer:
This button allows the agent to select a file from their local system, up to 100MB in size to transfer over to the visitor. The visitor is presented with a button in their chat window to download the file:
This feature is available to all users on server version 3.11 and above. If your trial started before 3.11 was available, then you will need to enable this feature on your instance as follows.
If you are unsure what version you are on, just look at the URL of the your Live Assist portal (mine currently looks like https://admin.eu1.liveassistfor365.com/portal/3.11.0/) or check your Agent Console:
To enable this feature, log in to your Live Assist Admin console and under the links menu you will see a Configure Features option:
Now you can select the File Transfer feature to enable it:
All your agents will now have this capability enabled for them.
