Since August 2024, some have been having intermittent provisioning issues during installation of Live Assist for Dynamics 365. The cause of this issue is a change our partner's APIs. Our developers are working diligently to fix this issue. In the meantime, please use the following workaround if provisioning fails during installation.
Summary
The workaround involves adding parameters in the URL, when redirected to the Power Platform Admin Center page.
Steps for the Workaround
Step 1: Verify that an incomplete installation is not present (and remove it if it is)
- Open your Dynamics 365 apps page. Then click on the Gear icon (in the upper right hand corner of the screen) and click on Advanced Settings.
- This will redirect you to the Power Platform Environment Settings (if your Dynamics Advance Settings is in Classic view, you instead need to go to Solutions, under Customizations).
- Click on Solutions in the left navigation pane, under the Customization section.
- You will be redirected to the Power Apps page. Then (1) confirm that you are still on the solutions page, (2) Click All, (3) Search for Live Assist, (4) If a result is found, select it from the list, and then (5) delete it. Deletion may take between several minutes and an hour. (If you didn't find Live Assist in the list, then you can proceed to the next step.)
Important: Before you continue, make sure that no Live Assist solution is present. (Either it was not present, or you deleted it.) The next steps will not work if an existing Live Assist solution is present.
Step 2: During the installation process, modify the URL to add additional parameters
- Follow the installation guide through step 2.c, but stop at that point and follow the steps below. Do not continue past step 2.c until you have done the following steps.
- After you have selected Live Assit from Microsoft AppSource, and been redirected to the Power Platform Admin center, add the following parameters to the end of the URL. Then press Enter on your keyboard.
&ecs.EnablePpapiCallForUserListTenantProducts=false&ecs.EnablePpapiCallForInstallPackageApi=false&ecs.EnablePPAPICallForInstallAppsourceApplicationEndpoint=false&ecs.EnablePpapiCallForAvailablePackagesApi=false
- The page will refresh, using the new parameters. At this point you may continue the installation guide steps after step 2.c.
