The Shortcode Co-browse feature gives your agents a way to co-browse with customers who are not engaged in a live chat. For example, an agent may be on a phone call with a customer. The Shortcode Co-browse feature is helpful in this situation.
How does the Shortcode Co-browse feature work?
An agent asks the customer to click on a specific button or link on your website for Shortcode Co-browse. This provides the customer with a code to share with the agent. The agent then clicks on the Shortcode Cobowse button in the agent widget, and enters this code. This starts a co-browse session with the customer.
How to enable Shortcode Co-browse
- If you started using Live Assist for Dynamics 365 prior to the release of version 3.7.0, ask support to enable the feature for you. Otherwise, the feature is already enabled.
- Add the Shortcode Co-browse tag to your web pages. You can retrieve it from the admin portal.
- Provide a button or a link for the visitor to click to invoke the code. You also need to implement a way to display the code when the button or link is clicked.
