There may be times when an agent needs to share content with the customer that is not readily available via the web. A file does not need to be hosted on the web for it to be co-browsed. The agent can select a file locally, provided that it is one of the supported types, and temporarily "publish" that file in read-only mode for the duration of the co-browsing session. This feature is known as "document sharing".
You can start a document share from within a co-browse session by clicking on the "Attachment" icon in the co-browse toolbar of the Agent Assist window.
The file selector will limit your choices to the supported file types: PDF, JPEG, and PNG. Select a file, and click "Open".
At this point, the customer will receive notification that the agent would like to share a document.
If the customer clicks "OK", then the two parties can "co-browse" the document shared by the agent. As noted above, this will only be possible for the duration of the co-browse session; the document is not available to the customer for download.
