This article explains a change in our legacy Live Chat platform. It applies to any users who have not engaged in a chat for 30 days or more. It took effect on June 22, 2024. Any user who goes 30 days or more without engaging in a chat will now be marked as a non-chat account.
This means that these users will no longer have access to the Agent Workspace for Chat in the Engagement Portal. Instead, only the Web Visitors view will be available.
Note: This does not apply to users on our modern Messaging platform. If you have not yet updated to Messaging, we encourage you to do so.
Replacement of functionality: For those using the Chat Workspace to track agent availability, there is an option to add the agents to a unique permission, so they have limited access to the Manager Workspace.
- An administrator can enabled this in the Engagement Portal by navigating to Management Console > Agent Manager View For Agents and clicking activate.
- Also you can configure the permissions. The permission "View list of agents in the group" is available on the Agents profile through the User Management area.
