Unified Interface—migration scenarios

The following scenarios have all been tested for migrating to the Unified Interface. All the scenarios tested here were tested on organizations without USD installed.

Note: Loading correctly means that you still need to load the agent app yourself, and that some functions do not work until you have performed further configuration, for example KB searches, Case, Leads, and Opportunity.

LA365 UI + USD UI Sample package

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD UI sample package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package
  3. Open USD
  4. Load the widget—see: Loading the widget
  5. Test the agent app.

Result: Successful—widget loads correctly and works as expected.

LA365 UI + USD “Upgrade” package

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD UI “Upgrade” package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package
  3. Open USD.

Result: Unsuccessful—USD opens, and an error message indicates that no application has been configured. The USD window is grey, and does not load any hosted controls.

LA365 UI + USD Webclient Sample package

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD Webclient Sample package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package
  3. Open USD.
  4. Load the widget—see: Loading the widget
  5. Test the agent app.

Result: Successful—widget loads correctly, and works as expected.

LA365 v3 upgrade to v4

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD Webclient Sample package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 CRM package v3.4.3.1
  3. Using the package deployer, install the USD UI “Upgrade” package
  4. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 CRM package v4 (UI)
  5. Open USD.

Result: Unsuccessful—broken. USD displays several error messages indicating that the Dashboard and some other hosted controls cannot be loaded.

LA365 UI + USD “Upgrade” package then USD Sample package

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD UI “Upgrade” package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package
  3. Open USD - error message should be displayed and / or the application should be grey.
  4. Using the package deployer, install the USD UI sample package
  5. Load the widget—see: Loading the widget
  6. Test the agent app.

Result: Successful—widget loads correctly, and works as expected.

Install LA365 UI CRM Package without any USD package installed

  • Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package

Result: Unsuccessful—error is thrown.

LA365 → LA365 straight upgrade

  1. Using the package deployer, install the USD WebClient sample package
  2. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 3.4.3.1 CRM package
  3. Using the package deployer, install the LA365 UI CRM package
  4. Open USD

Result: Successful—the widget behaves as it does when only the 3.4.3.1 version is installed.
