Prerequisite
An Official Service Account is required for this integration. To open a WeChat account, please see: https://wechatwiki.com/wechat-resources/wechat-official-account-registration-fees/
Setting up WeChat Connector
To set up WeChat Connector Integration, we need the following information from your account:
-
- Original ID - also called “WeChat ID”
- Developer ID - also called “appID” in sandbox accounts
- Developer Password - also called “appsecret” in sandbox accounts
Step 1 - Get WeChat Account Details
- Login to your WeChat Account.
- Go to the top right-hand corner and select Account details.
- Under the Account details section, scroll to the bottom and see the Registration information section. This will contain the email you signed up for WeChat with and an Original ID that follows the “gh_XXXXXX” format.
- Next, you need to get the Developer ID. Go to Settings and Development on the left-hand side control pane, then select Basic Configuration. You should see a Developer ID.
- You will then need to provide us with the Developer Password (AppSecret). This will only appear on the screen once when the account is set up and saved. If you lost this, you will need to reset it. It will require you to scan a QR code using a regular WeChat account to accept the terms and conditions associated with having developer access.
- At this point, raise a Support Ticket with the subject 'WeChat Integration' and provide us with the following information:
-
- Original ID
- Developer ID
- Developer Password
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM URL

- We then need to perform some actions in the back-end environment and provide you with a Token.
Step 2 - Enter the Configuration Settings into WeChat
Once this has been actioned, we will respond to you by providing you with a Verification Key. This will be required for the final step in the WeChat account.
