The legacy Chat engagement platform of Live Assist for Dynamics 365 has the following chat timers.
Note: This feature is not present in our modern Messaging platform. Since agent and visitor do not need to be online at the same time in Messaging, these timers are not applicable to it.
Visitor Chat Timer—This timer reports the total duration a visitor is chatting. If a chat transfers, the value is not reset. In the screenshot below, this timer appears underneath the visitor name.
Current Agent Chat Timer—This timer displays the duration the current agent is chatting with a visitor. It is only visible after a chat transfer. After a transfer, a new timer begins. In the screenshot below, this time appears as a banner at the top of the conversation.
